In her past life Cristina Vazquez was a reporter for El Nuevo Herald (the sister edition of The Miami Herald), Buenhogar (sister edition of Good Housekeeping) and GEMS Television, but always had the teaching bug inside her. For the last 17 years, she has made bilingual and foreign languages education hercalling and is now the Lead Teacher at the first public federally funded school in the country, Coral Way K-8 Center. She has two teenagers (who she wishes read more) and a soon-to-be ex-husband (who is an amazing reader, reads any kind of literature and recommends many of the books she later reads). Let's just say that there are two things they have in common: their children and books!! Cristina also two rescue dogs that she adores: Susy, a Yorkie, and Milu, a Chihuahua-Jack Russell mix.
