I don't why I'm so full of questions this week... I guess it's because I think sometimes the best ideas we get here at RGG are from you... our readers.  You are out there in the trenches (or living rooms anyway) experiencing your book clubs and having all kinds of wonderful (or strange) discussions and tons of great ideas.

If You Could Change One Thing...

As individuals, of course, we are all 100% perfect.  But I think we can all acknowldedge that once you put a bunch of us together in a group things automatically get less perfect.  And as smart and wonderful as all of our book club members are, there are bound to be things that drive you a little crazy. So today, my question is... if there was one thing you could change about your book club, what would it be? Is the time of day or day of week not quite right for you? Is there one person who takes over every discussion that just makes you crazy?
It's official... it's October and National Reading Group Month has begun! In honor of this special month, the National Reading Group Month Selection Committee picks a selection of Great Group Reads.  This year they've chosen 13 books, 12 novels and one memoir.

The National Book Festival Turns 10

I love that all of our regular contributors are getting out to the book festivals in and around where they live.  Well of course they are.  They wouldn't be regular contributors here on the RGG blog if they weren't book lovers.  Yesterday we heard from Heather Johnson on the Baltimore Book Festival and today Denise Neary shares some of the "wonder" of the National Book Festival in DC.
